Our hotel is located near many of the area’s celebrated venues and provides clean, comfortable, updated lodging for all of your guests. For the events themselves, although Placid Bay is not equipped to host large group events or conferences, we can happily accommodate intimate weddings and events for up to 10 guests. Traveling with your extended family or a large group of friends? Placid Bay is the perfect place for everyone to stay. We have several room options to accommodate a variety of needs, and we offer loads of extras like a fire pit with wood included, a seasonal outdoor pool, a garden area with yard games, and complimentary kayaks, canoes, and paddleboards! At Placid Bay, we make it easy for everyone to have a good time.
While we do not have space for large events, we can host intimate gatherings of up to 10 guests. With our close proximity to the area’s coveted venues, we can also accommodate your guests for an off-site wedding. Ask us about our curated romantic packages as well, to make your marital stay especially relaxing, intimate, and memorable.
If you’re coming from the city to host an offsite retreat for your corporate or athletic team, Placid Bay provides an excellent Adirondack basecamp. Your group will enjoy a lakeside stay with stellar views of Whiteface Mountain as well as complimentary personal watercraft and all the tech amenities you need to create a relaxing and productive team-building getaway.
We can hold blocks of rooms with a deposit equal to one night’s stay for each room. Other terms and conditions are available upon request, such as our refund policy and other relevant policies.
When rooms are being held as a block for a group, guests will need to call in to make reservations, as blocking the rooms makes them unavailable online. When you set aside a block of rooms we can work with you if you wish for specific rooms to be held for specific people, or to simply release them to anyone who calls in for your group. If guests are to pay for their stay on their own they will need to call us with a valid credit card prior to the 90-day cancellation date in order to transfer charges.
We require a minimum of 2-night stays for Friday & Saturday night stays from May 1 - October 31 and holidays.
We are happy to work with you to make sure guests receive welcome gifts, directions, or anything else you may want us to distribute, including third-party shuttle services for any part of your event that is not on location.
